Radiators by engine
In short
TECS Engineering designs and manufactures radiators for Caterpillar diesel generator sets and gas engines: remote and V-type radiators for data centers and power plants, and LT/HT radiators for gas engines with two cooling circuits. Each radiator is designed to the engine maker's requirements and the site.
Caterpillar diesel sets carry backup power for data centers and hospitals and prime power for mines and remote sites, while Caterpillar gas engines run in power plants and CHP plants.
Each of these installations needs a radiator designed for its engine and its site. TECS Engineering designs and builds it.
Backup Power For Data Centers
Data center sets usually stand in containers or halls with their radiators outside. Remote and V-type radiators take the cooling to the roof or the yard and keep the plant compact.
Prime Power For Mines And Remote Sites
Sets that run day and night in heat and dust need a radiator built for those conditions, easy to clean and ready for long service.
Gas Engines With Two Circuits
Caterpillar gas engines in power plants and CHP plants have a jacket water circuit and a charge air circuit. An LT/HT radiator cools both in one unit.
Designed To The Engine Maker's Requirements
The radiator follows the cooling data the engine maker gives, so the engine keeps its rated output at the site.
What TECS Engineering Delivers
- Radiator designed for the engine and the site
- Manufacturing in our own factory
- Factory testing before shipment
- Complete documentation with every unit
- Support from enquiry to start-up
What To Send With An Enquiry
- The engine type and how many engines the site has
- The engine maker's cooling data sheet, if you have it
- Where the radiators will stand and the conditions of the site
- The sound limit and where it is measured
- The power supply for the fans and any space limit
Questions We Are Often Asked
Do you make radiators for Caterpillar 3500 and C175 sets?
Yes. Each radiator is designed for the engine it cools and for its site.
Do you make radiators for Caterpillar gas engines?
Yes, including LT/HT radiators that cool both circuits of the engine in one unit.
Is TECS Engineering part of Caterpillar?
No. TECS Engineering is an independent radiator manufacturer. Caterpillar and Cat are trademarks of Caterpillar Inc. and are used here only to name the engines our radiators cool.
What do you need for a quotation?
The engine type, the engine maker's cooling data, where the radiator will stand, the site conditions and the sound limit. With that we prepare the proposal.
