Two Circuits, One Unit
The LT and HT sections share the casing, the fans and the airflow but stay hydraulically separate. One unit instead of two saves space, steel, cabling and installation work.
Two circuits in one unit
Gas engines and many large diesel engines have two cooling circuits: the high-temperature (HT) circuit for the jacket water and the low-temperature (LT) circuit for the charge air and often the lubricating oil. An LT/HT radiator cools both in one unit, with separate coil sections, headers and connections.
TECS designs LT/HT radiators to the engine manufacturer's data for each circuit, in horizontal, vertical and V-type layouts.

Each circuit has its own heat rejection, flow rate and temperatures from the engine manufacturer. The unit is designed so that both circuits reach their temperatures together at the design ambient, within the pressure drop the engine pumps allow.
Horizontal LT/HT radiators suit open sites and power plants, vertical units stand against a louvre or a duct, and V-type units carry large engines on a small plot.
Expansion tanks, level switches, junction boxes or control panels are supplied with the unit. Where the project needs it, the heating module with pumps, valves and heat exchangers completes the engine cooling circuit.
Low temperature and high temperature. The HT circuit cools the engine jacket; the LT circuit cools the charge air and, on many engines, the lubricating oil.
Two units are possible, but one LT/HT unit needs less space, fewer fans and less installation work.
Most gas engines for power generation and CHP and many large diesel engines. The engine manufacturer's data shows which circuits must be cooled.
The heat rejection, flow rate and temperatures of each circuit, the coolant and its glycol content, the design ambient temperature and altitude, the sound limit with its distance, and any space limit. An engine manufacturer's datasheet covers most of it.
